Il mwawsoubashi (mwbain turco: mwbqsubaşı, in mwbgalbanese: mwbwsubash, in mwcaserbo-croato: mwcqsubaša) era un titolo governativo mwcgottomano usato per descrivere diverse posizioni all'interno della gerarchia ottomana, a seconda del contesto. Questo titolo è stato dato ai detentori di un mwcwtimar che generasse più di 15.000 mwdaakçe all'annocite-ref-1[1] o agli assistenti del mweqsanjak-bey.cite-ref-2[2] Il termine era anche usato per il comandante della città o del castello nell'impero ottomano, un'antica versione di capo della polizia.cite-ref-3[3]

Un cognome diffuso tra le famiglie balcaniche, mwgwSubaša o mwhaSubašić, deriva da questo titolo.
